The IT SPECIALIST leads the execution, maintenance, and expansion of help desk support, and provides backup for the IT Director for the maintenance/troubleshooting for the 24/7 operations of all IT related equipment. In addition, this person will provide coding in the development of websites, utilizing PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery and the Magento platform. While NetSuite experience is not a requirement, the person in this position will be expected to learn NetSuite as they progress in their role.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Provide desk-top and lap-top support for both hardware and software, email, login / password support, telephony services (cellular, land-line/PBX, VOIP) for all TSMGI associates in alignment with the IT Director’s directives

·       Assist in coding for the development of websites as needed utilizing PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery and the Magento and WordPress platforms

·       Recommend and develop internal training programs for all TSMGI associates to ensure they are up to date and proficient with all existing and new technologies within the agency

·       Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation for all IT policies and procedures, including timely, accurate equipment inventory

·       Research and recommend technology trends for IT Director’s consideration of viable enhancements to overall IT efficiency, stability, maintenance, interconnectedness, and security for all TSMGI technology-related functions

·       Aid in the development and administration of the annual IT department budget forecasting and administration of monthly expenditures

·       Develop an understanding and expertise of TSMGI’s ERP system, NetSuite, and assist with training and updating as appropriate

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Bachelor’s degree in technology-related field or equivalent experience

·       Experience maintaining, VOIP phone system (PBX); Email Office 365 applications

·       One – three years of Help Desk Support experience, with strong customer service expertise

·       One-two years of coding experience utilizing PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and Magento platform

·       IT project management experience

·       Proven ability to develop and deliver IT-related training programs for internal users

·       Proven ability to collaborate across departments

·       Skilled at communicating clearly and professionally with all levels of staff, including about technology to non-technical colleagues

·       Adept problem-solving skills
