The Specialized Marketing Group, Inc. was founded. We started with our first sports marketing client, True Value and its NASCAR sports marketing program. We hit the ground running and didn’t look back.
We moved from an office-less environment into “The House” which was a home converted into an office space. Humble beginnings helped establish our family feel that we still hold today.
Our first promotional marketing client, Gerber Products, looked to us to create promotional goods, paper, and online intranet catalogs.
Becoming too big for “The House” office, we finally made the move into a real office building.
We organized and developed our first international experiential marketing program. Working with Canadian Gypsum Corp. we launched a Show Car Mobile Tour.
Making more waves, Valvoline, an original client with our Promotions division, signed on to work with our Sports Marketing division.
It’s not about the awards. It’s never been about the awards. But it is nice to get the nod from Promo Magazine as being a “Top Shop” in the industry. No need to start playing the music. We’re done giving our speech.
Making some friends across the pond, we inked our first global sports marketing sponsorship with current client, Aon, and Manchester United.
We launched our first world-wide promotional fulfillment program with Ashland Oil Company.
We cut the ribbon and opened the doors on our Milwaukee office to serve new clients such as Kohl’s, Summerfest, and the Wisconsin State Fair.
We negotiated another International sponsorship program, Aon’s partnership with the NFL International Series, and the annual game in London.
We introduced a new client, Abbott, to the world of global sports marketing and negotiated a deal for the title sponsorship of the Abbott World Marathon Majors.
As the hub of motorsports in the U.S., we officially opened our Charlotte office.
We began our first Advertising creative and production project by winning the bid to develop, design, and produce Valvoline’s online promotional campaign featuring NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson.
With all the hard work and success, it was a joy to celebrate TSMGI’s 15th Anniversary.
We were proud to partner with Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin as they became the official healthcare provider of the Milwaukee Bucks, as well as the partner on the team’s new sports science center.
TSMGI returned to its roots, opening its new headquarters in downtown Deerfield.
TSMGI further extended its relationship with Summerfest as the music festival celebrated its 50th edition. The occasion was marked with the opening of a new joint partnership merchandizing store.
